Terms and Conditions

Overview This website is operated by Ngumpie Weaving. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Ngumpie Weaving (Love Yourself Sister Pty Ltd). By accessing our site, engaging with us or purchasing our products and services, you agree to automatically be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”).

1. Purchasing Goods and Commissioned Pieces

  • Payment: All orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase. Failure to pay may result in order cancellation.
  • Inclusions: Commissioned pieces include the artwork only. Framing and plaques are not usually included and must be sourced externally or charged at an additional cost.
  • Intellectual Property: All designs are original works by artist Tegan Murdock of Ngumpie Weaving. Unauthorised reproduction, copying, or resale is prohibited unless agreed to by Tegan Murdock. 

2. Workshop Bookings

  • Payment and Cancellation: Full payment is required upon booking. No refunds for cancellations made within 14 days of the workshop.
  • Inclusions: Workshops include all costs involved with the workshop which includes and is not limited to; materials, facilitation fees, and travel within Northern Beaches/Sydney CBD. Additional travel fees may apply outside these areas.
  • Conduct and Client Responsibilities: Clients must respect cultural practices and guidelines. Inappropriate behavior, including racism, will lead to immediate termination without refund.

3. Suppliers and Subcontractors

  • Engagement and Correspondence: Subcontractors are considered part of Ngumpie Weaving and are bound by our terms when engaged and asked to deliver a product or workshop on behalf of Ngumpie Weaving. All communications and financial transactions must go through us. Unless the Supplier or Sub-Contractor has specified otherwise and has sought agreeance with Tegan Murdock of Ngumpie Weaving for any amendments regarding this. 
  • Rate Disclosure: Subcontractors must disclose their rates before work commencement; otherwise, standard rates apply. Rates will include all costs involved with the workshop which includes and is not limited to; facilitation fees, and travel within Northern Beaches/Sydney CBD unless specified prior to the workshop commencing and agreed to. All materials will be supplied by Ngumpie Weaving and will need to be picked up from our studio in Narrabeen at no extra cost. Should the supplier/contractor use their own materials, they need to discuss this prior to the workshop and if agreed, Ngumpie Weaving will restock the materials of up to RRP$80 worth supplied by String Harvest. Should the Supplier/Sub-contractor need to pay for parking fees, this will be reimbursed to an amount up to $20 upon receipt. Ngumpie Weaving does not pay for normal travel to/from work unless agreed upon prior to the commencement of the workshop.
  • Invoices: Submit invoices within 14 days post-service. Payments processed within 14 days of receipt.
  • Uniform Requirements: Subcontractors representing Ngumpie Weaving must adhere to dress guidelines. This includes wearing an ironed 'Ngumpie Weaving' T-shirt with earrings designed by Tegan Murdock. This will be supplied by Ngumpie Weaving prior to the workshop but should this not be received prior to the workshop the Supplier/Sub-contractor will need to wear professional black smart casual, with no-branded clothing visible. 
  • Compliance and Integrity: Subcontractors must maintain professionalism and uphold Ngumpie Weaving's values.

4. General Terms

  • Photography and Media: We reserve the right to use workshop images and videos for promotional purposes. Clients may opt out by notifying us.
  • Liability and Indemnity: Ngumpie Weaving is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage during workshops or from commissioned pieces. Clients indemnify us from related claims. Suppliers and Sub-Contractors will go under their own insurances and liabilities. They also require their own valid Working With Children Check in order to work with children.
  • Modifications and Pricing: We reserve the right to modify services and pricing without notice.

Governing Law These terms are governed by Australian law.
